The Capuchins announced new assignments for the friars. The Capuchin Province of Saint Conrad is opening a new friary in Wichita, Kansas. It will be named St. Carlo Acutis Friary. Father Charles will be leaving Annunciation to be a part of that new community in Wichita. Father Christopher will be the new pastor here at Annunciation. His associates, who will be living across the street with him at Fraternidad San Antonio, will be Father Vincent Carrasco and Father Joseph Mary Elder. Please keep these and all the friars who are receiving new assignments and missions in your prayers.
Note from Father Charles: I want to express my sincere thanks to all the parishioners of Annunciation Catholic Parish for the inspiration you have given to me and the privilege of serving as pastor for the past ten years. Together, we have experienced many joys and sorrows, a pandemic, births, deaths, marriages, and many more events during these years. It has been a joyful and challenging ten years, and this is an extremely emotional time for me as I need to say “good bye.” Thanks especially to the wonderful and dedicated staff, to the Finance Council, the Pastoral Council, the Stewardship Committee and the many other groups who have supported me during these years. You will be in my heart and my prayers as I move on to a new challenge and adventure in Wichita, Kansas. God Bless You all!

Los Capuchinos anunciaron nuevas tareas para los frailes. La Provincia Capuchina de San Conrado abrirá un nuevo convento en Wichita, Kansas. Se llamará Convento de San Carlos Acutis. El Padre Carlos dejará Annunciation para unirse a la nueva comunidad de capuchinos en Wichita. El Padre Christopher será el nuevo párroco aquí en Annunciation. Sus asociados, que vivirán al otro lado de la calle en la Fraternidad San Antonio, serán el Padre Vicente Carrasco y el Padre José María Elder. Han sido diez años alegres y desafiantes, y este es un momento extremadamente emotivo para mí, ya que necesito despedirme. Vigil of Pentecost: June 7th
Mass will be at 6:00 PM. The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed after mass until midnight. The evening will include prayer, talks, praise and worship music. Plan to be part of this celebration.
Solemnity of Pentecost: June 8th.
