Welcome to Annunciation

Welcome to Annunciation Catholic Parish.  You can enjoy the beauty of our church with all its original artwork and tradition by accessing various events on our Facebook Page. We invite you to pray with us at home. Events in church are on Facebook.  Pray at home. A link to or Facebook page is found by scrolling down on this page.

It’s time for the Archbishop’s Catholic Appeal (ACA). Our Church needs this ACA more than ever this year.  Ministries are experiencing increased demand.  Parishes like our own Annunciation have had to find new and creative ways to minster. We are one church and we are all in this together.  To provide support during this pandemic, the first $1 Million raised by the appeal will go directly to parishes. The second $500,000 will be used to help parishes most in need.  Please review the following video:  https://vimeo.com/409859087

And, please don’t forget to continue to support the parish financially.  You can give online (see the link below), or you can send your financial support through the mail or you can use the collection basket that is available at Masses.  The financial needs or our parish do not stop. Thank you for your support.

Necesitamos tu ayuda. Gracias por tu ayuda.

Our Mass schedule has returned to pre-coronavirus times.  The numbers who are allowed at each mass will be limited to 10 per section in the church. We aim for around 20. (Households can sit together and will count as “one.”)  Social distancing will be required.  Masks will be required.  The Archbishop has dispensed with the obligation to participate in Sunday and Holy day celebrations of the Eucharist.  Safety is our highest concern right now. All Masses will be on Facebook.  Please use discretion. Be safe. Our goal is to make the church as safe a place as possible.

Because attendance at all the masses is low enough for everyone who wishes to participate at Mass to be safe, we are not going to do a program for reservations. If one of the masses becomes too full, we may start a reservation process for that mass.  Remember that we have five masses on the weekend and six masses during the week.  None of them have reached our limit.

Viernes/Friday: Misa a las 8:15 a.m.

SABADO: VIGILIA DE PENTECOSTES — Misa a las 6:00.  Adoracion hasta 12:00.  Mass at 6:00 and adoration until midnight.

From Friday’s Gospel:  After Jesus had revealed himself to his disciples and eaten breakfast with them, he said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” Simon Peter answered him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my lambs.”He then said to Simon Peter a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Simon Peter answered him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.” He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was distressed that he had said to him a third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.

Fr. Charles:  How can you not “love” this scene.  No matter what the play on words, Jesus is bringing the point home to the one who is to lead the followers of Jesus at the beginning of the Church’s life.  And another thing.  Jesus did not change his mind on choosing Peter as his “vicar” after Peter’s denials.  Jesus knew his choice of Peter was the best one.  Jesus forgave, moved on, and awaited the Holy Spirit.  It would all be OK.
