RECONCILIATION

WHAT IS RECONCILIATION?

Reconciliation is a sacrament in which people receive after committing sins after their baptism. Reconciliation happens when the believer repents of their sins and they are cleansed and redeemed by God.

 

The Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation is offered every Saturday at 4:30PM at Annunciation Parish. Confession may also be by private appointment with the pastor.  Please Contact us for an appointment.

First Reconciliation at Annunciation Parish

Children participating in the Annunciation religious education/faith formation program begin preparation for receiving the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist in the first grade. In the second grade they begin a more comprehensive preparation and are also expected to complete an at home workbook for each of the Sacraments. Once a child can aptly express in a personal interview with the pastor or his representative that they have an understanding of the Sacrament of Reconciliation and Eucharist, a date may be scheduled for them to receive the Sacrament.

First Reconciliation Requirements

      • A child must be baptized. A copy of the certificate must be on file with the parish office.
      • Attend the Religious Education Program.
      • Each child is required to complete the First Reconciliation Preparation materials with their parents.
      • Children and their parents are expected to attend Mass.
      • Child interviews with pastor or his representative that they have an understanding of the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

La reconciliación es un sacramento en el que las personas reciben después de cometer pecados después de su bautismo. La reconciliación ocurre cuando el creyente se arrepiente de sus pecados y es limpiado y redimido por Dios.

El Sacramento de la Penitencia y la Reconciliación se ofrece todos los sábados a las 4:30 p.m. en la Parroquia de la Anunciación. La confesión también puede ser por cita privada con el párroco. Por favor contactenos para una cita.

Primera Reconciliación en la Parroquia de la Anunciación

Los niños que participan en el programa de educación religiosa/formación en la fe de la Anunciación comienzan a prepararse para recibir los sacramentos de la Reconciliación y la Eucaristía en el primer grado. En segundo grado, comienzan una preparación más integral y también se espera que completen un libro de trabajo en casa para cada uno de los Sacramentos. Una vez que un niño pueda expresar adecuadamente en una entrevista personal con el pádre o su representante que entiende el Sacramento de la Reconciliación y la Eucaristía, se puede programar una fecha para que reciba el Sacramento.

Requisitos de la primera Reconciliación

      • Un niño debe ser bautizado. Una copia del certificado debe estar archivada en la oficina parroquial.

      • Asistir al Programa de Educación Religiosa.

      • Los padres tienen que asistir en la misa.
      • Entrevistas con el pastor o su representante para que comprendan el Sacramento de la Reconciliación.
